Hello, welcome. The purpose of this site is to distribute copies of Art, Intellectual Property and the Knowledge Economy (AIPKE) to anyone who may find it interesting or useful.
The version of the doctoral thesis available for download on this site is identical to that submitted for examination in late 2002.
The examiners predicted that the thesis would "make an influential book" and, from 2002 onwards, I had many requests for copies of all, or a part, of this text. Apart from distributing a few hard copies to friends, and directing people to the two copies held at University of London's Senate House Library, my usual response to enquires was "wait for the book". But, for a number of work-related and personal reasons, the book was repeatedly delayed. In September 2005, I decided to make the original work available online and this website was created for that purpose.
Since 2005 I have also been asked about 'other work' and this site now contains additional information on public events and more recent published work.
